A Small Practice, On Purpose
TNT Tax Specialists is a two-person practice — Kathryn Hannon and Taylor Smith — not a call center. When you work with us, you work directly with one of us, every time, not a rotating assignment of whoever answers the phone.
That means we actually know your situation. We take the time to explain your options clearly and answer your questions, without rushing you through an appointment or trying to upsell you on something you don't need.

"I founded TNT Tax Specialists after spending more than 30 years working at the IRS — in audit, collections, and walk-in taxpayer services. During that time, I saw firsthand how confusing and intimidating the IRS can feel, and how many individuals and businesses struggled simply because they didn't understand what was being asked of them. That experience is what led me to step outside the agency and put that knowledge to work for taxpayers instead. Today, as an Enrolled Agent, I'm passionate about helping clients understand their tax situation, file with confidence, and get real support if they're ever up against the IRS. My goal is to make the process simpler, clearer, and a lot less stressful for everyone we work with."

Kathryn Hannon spent more than 30 years working at the IRS — in audit, collections, and walk-in taxpayer services — before founding TNT Tax Specialists. That experience means she's seen nearly every type of notice, audit, and collection letter the IRS sends, and she understands how the agency actually works. Today, as an Enrolled Agent — federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS — she works directly with clients across Richmond, Katy, Sugar Land, Fulshear, Rosenberg, and Fort Bend County, explaining IRS problems in plain English and handling the details so clients don't have to face the IRS alone.
Taylor Smith
Bookkeeping Guru
As a partner at TNT Tax Specialists, I bring a strong foundation in accounting with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and certification as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. With years of experience in business tax preparation and bookkeeping, I specialize in helping businesses stay organized, compliant, and financially efficient. I work closely with clients to streamline their financial processes, ensuring accurate tax filings and smooth bookkeeping practices to support long-term business success.
