What to Bring to Your Appointment
A little preparation helps us move quickly. Here's what most clients need to bring:
- A government-issued photo ID and Social Security or ITIN cards for everyone on the return
- Last year's tax return, if we didn't prepare it
- W-2s, 1099s, and any other income statements
- Mortgage interest, property tax, and other deduction records
- Business income and expense records, if you’re self-employed or own a business
- A summary of digital asset transactions, if you bought, sold, or received cryptocurrency or NFTs
Please don't send Social Security numbers or tax documents by email or through this site. Once you're a client, we'll give you secure access to our client portal.

“Kathryn was very helpful for my husband and I. She helped us to understand things we didn't understand, without trying to upsell us on anything. She actually cares about her customers and what's best for them, and not just making money. Very honest. We absolutely recommend her services!!”

“Kathryn was so helpful. I recently created an LLC and have done my taxes myself but didn't know how to file the LLC. I highly recommend using her to file your taxes. She is super knowledgeable.”

Common Questions
Texas doesn't have a state income tax — do I still need a state return?
Not for Texas itself. But if you earned income in another state — from a job, a rental property, or a business — you may need to file a return there too. We'll help you figure out if that applies to you.
Can you help if I never filed a prior-year return, or need to amend one?
Yes, we prepare prior-year returns and amended returns. If you have unfiled returns from past years, that also overlaps with our IRS resolution work — see our back taxes and unfiled returns page for more.
Do you prepare returns for LLCs and S corporations?
Yes — Schedule C for sole proprietors and single-member LLCs, Form 1065 for partnerships and multi-member LLCs, and Form 1120-S for S corporations.
How do I send you my documents?
Once you're a client, we'll set you up with secure access to our client portal for sharing documents. Please don't email or upload your Social Security number or tax documents through this website — the portal is the safe way to send anything sensitive.
