Terms of Use
Effective date: October 4, 2026
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the website at https://www.tnttaxspecialists.com/ (this "Site"), operated by TNT Tax Specialists ("we," "us," or "the firm"). By using this Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use this Site.
Informational purpose only — no tax advice, no professional relationship
General information only — not tax advice for your situation. A professional relationship begins only after a signed engagement letter. Nothing on this Site — including the blog articles, FAQ answers, and service descriptions — is tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice for your specific situation, and nothing on this Site creates an accountant-client, preparer-client, or any other professional relationship between you and the firm. A professional relationship, and the specific advice that comes with it, begins only after you've engaged us and signed an engagement letter describing the services we'll provide.
Tax laws change, vary by situation, and are applied differently depending on your facts. Don't rely on general content from this Site as a substitute for personalized advice from a qualified professional who has reviewed your specific circumstances.
Not affiliated with the IRS or any government agency
TNT Tax Specialists is an independently owned and operated private tax practice. We are not part of, affiliated with, or endorsed by the Internal Revenue Service or any other government agency. Founder Kathryn Hannon's 30+ years of IRS service, described elsewhere on this Site, was prior employment with the agency — it does not mean the firm has any current relationship with, special access to, or influence over the IRS. As an Enrolled Agent, Kathryn is federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS; that credential, too, does not imply IRS endorsement of the firm or any guarantee of results. No statement on this Site should be read as a promise or guarantee of any particular outcome with the IRS or any taxing authority.

We don't warrant that this Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any information on it is complete, current, or accurate for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TNT Tax Specialists and its owners and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Site, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fort Bend County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page always reflects the version currently in force. Continuing to use this Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
