Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 4, 2026 · Last updated: October 4, 2026

Who we are

This Privacy Policy covers the website at https://www.tnttaxspecialists.com/ (this "Site"), operated by TNT Tax Specialists, a tax resolution, tax preparation, and bookkeeping practice located at 8218 Prairie Run Ct, Richmond, TX 77406. You can reach us at kathryn13.tnt@gmail.com or (281) 533-0158.

Scope of this policy

This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website — browsing, the contact and booking tools, and site analytics. It does not cover information we collect from you after you become a tax preparation or bookkeeping client. Once you engage us for those services, we provide you with a separate privacy notice required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), covering the "nonpublic personal information" we collect and how we safeguard it as part of preparing your return or books. You receive that notice when you engage us, and you're entitled to a copy of it at any time on request.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you send us directly — your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you tell us, when you call, email, or otherwise contact us.
  • Information you enter when booking a consultation — our free-consultation scheduler is provided by Calendly. When you book through it, Calendly collects the name, email, phone number, topic, and any notes you enter, and shares that booking information with us so we can prepare for and confirm your appointment. Calendly's own privacy practices are described at calendly.com/privacy (opens in a new tab) .
  • Information collected automatically — like most websites, our Site and our hosting provider's servers automatically log technical information about each visit: your device and browser type, the pages you view, the page that referred you here, your approximate location (typically city- or region-level, inferred from your IP address), and similar technical data. We collect this through our content delivery network's own server logs and through analytics tools (see "Service providers" below), and through cookies and similar local storage on your device (including the one described on our Your Privacy Choices page, which remembers your opt-out choice). If you arrive here through a marketing link or ad (one with tracking parameters in its URL, such as utm_source or Google's gclid), we temporarily hold those parameters in your browser's session storage — cleared when you close the browser tab — so that if you later book a consultation, we can tell which campaign brought you here. We never store this if you've opted out of advertising measurement (see "Advertising and your choices" below).

How we use this information

  • To respond to your questions and messages.
  • To schedule, confirm, and prepare for consultations and appointments.
  • To understand how visitors use this Site, so we can improve it.

Service providers

We share information with the following service providers, each for the purpose described:

  • Bunny.net — our content delivery network; hosts this website and generates server access logs for every visitor.
  • Calendly — our consultation-scheduling tool, as described above.
  • Google Tag Manager — a tag-management tool that loads the other measurement tools described in this section. By itself, it doesn't collect any data. Through it, we currently run Google Analytics (GA4) to measure site traffic and which pages and campaigns perform well.
  • PostHog (U.S. cloud region) — product analytics, including heatmaps and session recordings of how visitors use this Site, so we can find and fix confusing or broken pages. Form field inputs are masked in these recordings — PostHog never records what you type into any field on this Site. PostHog uses your IP address only to estimate your approximate location (city/region) and filter automated bot traffic, then discards it — IP addresses are not stored.
  • Intuit Link — the secure client portal we use to exchange documents with engaged clients.
  • Google (email) — our current business email is hosted on Google's email service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.

Advertising and your choices

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and PostHog to understand site traffic. You can control this at any time:

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends this signal, we automatically treat you as opted out of analytics and advertising measurement on this Site, without requiring any separate action — see Your Privacy Choices for details on how this works and how to override it if you'd prefer analytics to run.

Technically, Google Tag Manager's own loading isn't affected by this choice — it's the mechanism that carries your choice (or your browser's GPC signal) to the individual tools it manages, following Google's "Consent Mode" standard. Those tools themselves don't record you unless your current choice says they may.

Tax return information

If you're a tax preparation client, your tax return information is protected separately and more strictly than ordinary website data. Internal Revenue Code §7216 makes it a federal crime for a tax return preparer to use or disclose your tax return information for purposes other than preparing your return — including marketing — without your knowing, voluntary, written consent, given in the specific form the IRS requires. We never use client tax return information for website analytics, advertising, or marketing of any kind. The analytics tools described in this policy run on this public website only; they are never connected to, or informed by, any client's tax files, tax software, or the Intuit Link portal.

Please don't email us, or submit through this website, your Social Security number or any tax document. Ordinary email and website forms aren't appropriate for that kind of sensitive information. Once you're an engaged client, we'll give you secure access to the Intuit Link client portal (https://link.intuit.com/) for exchanging documents.

How we protect information

We serve this website entirely over HTTPS and limit who can access the systems behind it. We're also formalizing these practices into a written information security program consistent with FTC guidance for tax practices. We don't publish further technical detail about our security measures here, since doing so could itself create risk — if you have a specific security question, contact us directly.

Data retention

We keep website contact and booking information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, provide services you've requested, and meet our own legal and recordkeeping obligations, and we delete or de-identify it after that. Analytics data is retained according to each analytics provider's own standard retention settings.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we have about you from this website, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing kathryn13.tnt@gmail.com or calling (281) 533-0158. We'll respond promptly.

Texas residents: the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) gives Texas residents certain rights over their personal data, with an exemption for small businesses as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration. We honor the access, correction, and deletion requests described above for every visitor who asks, regardless of whether the TDPSA applies to our business specifically.

Children's privacy

This Site is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information through this Site, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

This Site links to third-party sites and services (for example, Calendly, Intuit Link, and our social media profiles). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover — please review their policies separately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page always reflects the version currently in force. We encourage you to review it occasionally.
